Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro highlands and register at the gate before proceeding to the Crater viewpoint. Pause briefly to capture the stunning panoramic vistas of the Crater floor from above before descending the 600-meter-high walls for a full-day game drive.Often hailed as the "Eden of Africa," Ngorongoro Crater boasts breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife.
The crater serves as a natural sanctuary for a myriad of large and plain animals. Enjoy lunch on the crater floor as you observe herds of wildebeest, eland, zebras, hippos, African elephants, gazelles, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the rare black rhino. One of the crater's main attractions is its dense predator population, including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard. Enclosed within the 600-meter-high volcanic walls, these animals can be observed at remarkably close range. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, known for its large flocks of flamingos, diverse aquatic birds, and resident hippos.
