Day 1 Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! An Arem Safaris representative will greet you at the airport and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha. If time permits upon your arrival, you'll have the opportunity to unwind and prepare for the extraordinary adventure ahead! Arusha, bustling and vibrant, plays a crucial role in safari experiences in Northern Tanzania, with many travelers passing through at some point. Overnight at Kahawa House

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Arem safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation. This morning, you'll embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour drive away on well-maintained tarmac roads. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This river, often referred to as the 'river of warthogs', serves as the sole water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Tarangire is renowned for its elephant families, frequently observed gathering by the river. Additionally, sightings of giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests are common. These animals attract a variety of predators, including lions and leopards. Tarangire boasts more breeding bird species than any other location on the planet, and its landscape is dotted with massive and ancient Baobab trees, some of which are believed to have lived for over a thousand years. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park. Following your game drive, you'll travel to your accommodation in Karatu. Overnight Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, you'll ascend into the cooler realms of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be an opportunity to pause and behold the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Subsequently, you'll traverse through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the Serengeti, entering from the southern part of the park. The Serengeti is renowned for its expansive grasslands, offering exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Its most iconic feature is the annual Great Migration, where vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes migrate in search of fresh grazing.

The migration occurs throughout the year, requiring knowledge of the right locations for observation. Depending on the timing of your visit, you might have the chance to witness one of the 'Seven Wonders of the Natural World'. Enjoy a picnic lunch and spend the night at a luxury tented camp in the central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Into Wild Africa/ Serengeti into wild

Day 4 Serengeti National Park Full Day

Day 4: Serengeti National Park The entirety of today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti through game drives. The park is teeming with diverse wildlife, including impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. Alongside its iconic landscapes, there's a high likelihood of encountering predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. It promises to be a transformative experience. You have the option of embarking on early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to camp for lunch. Alternatively, you can opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. Dinner and overnight at Into Wild Africa Serengeti Luxury Tented Camp

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Following breakfast, you'll set off toward Ngorongoro Crater, with hopes of encountering more wonders along the way! Ngorongoro Crater, concealed by steep volcanic walls, encompasses a pristine wilderness featuring expansive savannahs, patches of acacia woodland, and shimmering lakes and swamps. This geological marvel was formed two to three million years ago when a large volcano erupted and collapsed upon itself. The descent into the crater is an adventure in its own right. Upon reaching the crater floor, you'll be greeted by vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater offers an excellent opportunity to spot the endangered black rhinos, which occasionally roam the open grasslands. After a full afternoon exploring the crater, you'll journey to your accommodation in Karatu. Overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

This morning, you'll embark on a journey to Lake Manyara National Park, which marks the final destination of this extraordinary safari! Located 120km west of Arusha, Manyara is a compact yet remarkably diverse park. Every aspect of this park is unique in its own right. Despite being one of the narrowest parks in Africa, it boasts epic features, with the Great Rift Escarpment towering over Lake Manyara's western boundary.

The park's focal point is its namesake, a shallow salt lake that expands and contracts with the seasons, serving as a habitat for thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. Keep an eye out for baboons and elephants amidst the park's dense evergreen forest, and be on the lookout for the renowned tree-climbing lions that have gained fame throughout Africa. You'll relish a picnic lunch within the park before embarking on a game drive. Following your wildlife exploration, you'll be dropped off at a location of your choice, such as Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We sincerely hope you've enjoyed every moment of your adventure with Arem Safaris!
