Everything you'll encounter here is extraordinary in its own way. Despite being one of Africa's narrowest parks, Manyara boasts epic features, with the towering Great Rift Escarpment dominating its western boundary. The park's center piece is its shallow, salt lake, which spans a significant area and fluctuates between flooding and drying with the seasons, serving as a habitat for thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. Keep an eye out for baboons and elephants amidst the park's dense evergreen forest, and be on the lookout for the famed tree-climbing lions that have garnered attention throughout Africa. You'll savor a picnic lunch within the park before embarking on a game drive.
