Day 2 Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your guide from Arem Safari will pick you up from your accommodation. This morning, we'll embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, with a transit drive of approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. Named after the Tarangire River flowing through it, this park serves as the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season, earning it the nickname 'river of warthogs'. Renowned for its elephant families often seen gathering near the river.
Tarangire is also home to giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and various predators such as lions and leopards. With more breeding bird species than anywhere else on the planet, Tarangire offers remarkable avian diversity. The park also boasts ancient Baobab trees, some rumored to have lived for over a thousand years. Enjoy lunch at a picnic site within the park, followed by a thrilling game drive. Afterward, we'll make our way to your accommodation near the park.
